Yesterday our Manchester residents Winnie and Danny celebrated 70 years of married life together and Danny his 99th birthday. A truly wonderful couple who were married in 1954 at St Kentigerns by a Fr Sweeney. Winnie from Co Mayo and Danny from Co Donegal.
This morning we had a beautiful mass of thanksgiving with a special blessing for them both. It was lovely to have their family present to join in the celebrations.
Then a fantastic BBQ in the sunshine, for those brave enough to sit out.
Our gratitude to chef Alan who worked so hard, the food was delicious.
We send Winnie and Danny all our very best wishes. What an amazing achievement to spend 70 devoted years together and Danny to reach the great age of 99 years.
We pray the Good Lord will continue to bless you both abundantly and wish you many more years of peace, joy and happiness
