In 1866 the Little Sister arrived in Newcastle Upon Tyne at 35 Clayton Street. Within two years they moved to “Meadowbank” in Westsmorland Road where St. Joseph’s Home stands today. In 1989 major renovation work began, transforming the Home into a modern well equipped Nursing and Residential Home.
