St. Joseph’s Home welcomes The Waterford City Brass Band and the Clonakilty Brass Band

On Sat 1st of March we welcomed not one but two very popular Brass Bands to St Joseph’s home, Ferrybank, Waterford as part of the Jubilee Year of HOPE, during the month of March as the world celebrated the Jubilee of Volunteering and to say that we surpassed everyone’s expectations would be an understatement.

We welcomed the City of Waterford Brass who went on stage first with a full ensemble of Brass Instruments to the delight of all of our residents, family members & friends of our home it was a joy to see. The moment it began it was electric and it continued for the first half along with plenty of dancers on the floor.

Part 2 was a very warm welcome indeed for our second visiting band all the way from Clonakilty in Co Cork & the instruments got even bigger along with the sound & atmosphere and lots of audience participation. The vibrant and jovial atmosphere that was in our large Concert Hall on Saturday was effervescent to say the least! All of our Residents and guests joined both of the bands who took to the stage for a couple of final tunes and they received a rapturous applause along with a thank from Mother Roseline & Rose for an amazing evening of wonderful talent and it was reciprocated back at us.
