Every autumn, as has been the custom for over 100 years, the representatives of over sixty charities receive the invitation to St James palace in London to view and then receive the generous donation of a variety hand knitted garments and clothing.
Our visit of this most beautiful and famous palace happily ended in meeting Princess Alexandra. She was very elegant and showed interest in our work of caring for the elderly as she did for the many other charities present.
We have since received and are very thankful for the wonderful hand made goods. All the contents- knitted garments, quilts, clothing, towels and underwear that will be most appreciated by the residents. We also won the most beautiful patchwork quilt. This event in such historical surroundings and with so many dedicated people was a great afternoon that we enjoyed from beginning to end. A reminder to pray for our benefactors known and unknown.
