Retreat Day 8th November 2025 St Anne’s London

The Associates from St Anne’s Home London were happy to participate at a day’s retreat at the home on the 8th of November. Father Daniel Magnier celebrated the Mass and thanked the Associates for their presence. During the homily Father Daniel highlighted the virtue of hope in the life of Jeanne Jugan. Jeanne trusted in God and never doubted his providence in her daily life. Father encouraged the Associates to continue to follow the example of Jeanne Jugan in their daily lives by the apostolate of the laity, imitating Jeanne’s spirit of hope and confidence. Father mentioned the example of Jeanne Jugan, Living for Christ, contemplated in prayer and recognized in our brothers and sisters. The spirit of the Association invites each one to participate in the apostolate of the elderly with its own specific spirit. The affiliation to the congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor; marked by the charism of Jeanne Jugan.

A sharing was held to discuss Father Daniel’s homily invited us to deepen our love of Jeanne Jugan. Sister Mary Agnes and the Associates had refreshments and shared information concerning future meetings and the programme for the future. Father Daniel was available to meet anyone during the afternoon.

The retreat enabled each one to spend time in the chapel for adoration and evening prayer with the residents and sisters. The rosary was recited in the garden. The weather was not cold, and we admired the garden as we walked around.
