The short procession in the grounds took place in St Peter’s Residence on 15 August in honour of the Feast of Our Lady’s Assumption into heaven. The statue of Our Lady was wheeled by Sr Mary Christina and Nelson a volunteer. We recited the rosary and sang hymns en route.
When we reached the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in the garden we stopped there and continued the rosary. After this the residents and helpers were delighted to receive cooling ice lollies, it was such a hot day, and small cartons of juice – all of which had been donated. All who participated were very happy with this devotion to Our Lady and our get-together afterwards.
