“The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” – and more!

The Residents of Jeanne Jugan Residence, JERSEY, were recipients of Awards at the annual Jersey Eisteddfod Spring Festival of Needlework and Creative Arts.  Ray Marlow, aged 95, was presented with the Pierre Le Carrie Cup for two beautiful pieces of baby clothes, and also gained certificates.   There was a special class where three people could help produce one item and so the theme “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party”, from Alice in Wonderland, was chosen.    Nancy Le Clercq, Ray Marlow and Eileen Austin were awarded the best in the show.  They all gained certificates and the Good Companians Trophy.  The Edward Le Quesne Trophy was awarded to Noele Stephens, Nancy le Clercq and Phyllis Journeau.
