What a surprise and great joy we had when a telephone call came asking if we would like the Relics of Saint Bernadette to come to our Home. You can imagine the reply! What a privilege - how humbled we felt. Much preparation for the visit was undertaken by everyone; Sisters, Staff and Residents.

Here in St. Joseph’s Home, Waterford we marked Sunday 24th 2nd World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly with a special Mass, residents participated in Readings and Offertory Procession. On Saturday September 17th, the Sisters, staff and volunteers at Bristol set out on a sponsored walk across the Durdham Downs. Together we covered and reached our target of 300 miles.
It was a lovely afternoon, and thankfully we have now raised enough funds to renew the flooring in two of our bedrooms.
