Four recently retired members of staff were invited to join the Little Sisters, Residents, Associates and Volunteers in Leeds on the Feast of St Joseph and were awarded certificates for their long-standing service to the Home.

Birthday celebrations were in full swing at St Anne's as Kathleen reached the venerable age of 104, and Norah the 'younger' age of 95!

During the recent heavy snowfall some 'Knights in Shining Armour', or at least high viz jackets and hard hats, from Balfour Beatty (North) came to dig us out. They cleared the driveway and the roadway to the back of the house with the aid of a JCB digger and lots of rock salt, giving their time (and rock salt) free. The only payment they asked was a photograph! Another example of comradeship that seems to have swept the country over the past week.Staff in action!
