The theme for World Mission Sunday 2025 was “Missionaries of Hope among all Peoples”, a message from Pope Francis that emphasises the importance of spreading hope through missionary work. The theme highlights the role of Christins in bringing hope, love, and a sense of community to people in need, especially those suffering from war, poverty, and injustice. The theme calls for all Christins to become “missionaries of Hope” by embodying the love of God and transmitting hope to others through their actions and faith. It is inspired by Pope Francis’ message for the 99th World Mission Day and a subsequent message from Pope Leo XIV. Our international staff and friends of the home in Waterford were happy to participation in the celebration and prayer for the occasion. Sr. Veronica Francis Mary prepared a beautiful display in front of the Altar with the Globe of World and missionary photos.
