Robin in St Peter’s Gardens, London

At St Peter’s garden, London, Pawel the gardener after several months of patiently holding out his hand with bird food has finally tamed the robin.

Although in the heart of London the greenery and wildlife are very much present. Besides the squirrels and foxes the birds are a preferred by many of us. The robins seem to be a favourite and as you see they are becoming very friendly and tame. Thanks to Pawel, the gardener this little robin comes each day knowing where he will be respected and well fed.

No need to worry, we have food in abundance or so it seems! Today a big box arrived at the reception and when opened it contained 2 large sacs weighing a total 25kgs. The inscription on the sac read bird food. The Little Sister thought there was some mistake, we only have one budgie so what is this quantity of seed for. Enquiries were made, there was no mistake, this quantity was ordered at the request of a resident who is also a ‘bird lover’. The order wasn’t for her budgie after all but for Pawel the gardener so that he can feed the birds! So if you come to St Peter’s in the future you risk to see a bird sanctuary and maybe even Saint Francis!
