Procession at in honour of Our Lady

The Missionaries Sisters of Charity who live fairly near our home explained to one of the Little Sisters that they were organising a Procession in honour of Our Lady during her month of May and asked if it would be possible to come into our grounds and pray a decade of the Rosary in front of the Grotto and that the residents and Sisters could join in.  Of course, we were delighted especially as the day arranged turned out to be one of the warmest and sunniest days yet.  So, before the group arrived residents and Little Sisters were sat around the Grotto.  

How delighted we were when the group  arrived – the majority being school children –  singing hymns to Our Lady and along with their parents and the Missionary Sisters they followed the four people who carried the beautiful statue of Our Lady which they placed in front of the Grotto as we recited together a decade of the Rosary.  One of the Sisters said they were offering it for all who live here in St Joseph’s. 

As they processed through the grounds and out through the gate once again it was lovely to hear them singing at the top of the voices.  One of the Missionary Sisters said that they would be doing the same for the Feast of Corpus Christi and asked to use our grounds once again.
