A group of members of the Legion of Mary from Kensington London from Our Lady of Victories parish which remains an active parish in the diocese of Westminster, with a diverse and vibrant community continuing over two centuries of catholic worship. The group visited St Anne’s Home in London on Sunday 15th February at 2pm. The three adults and six young people were eager to listen to the vocation stories of three little Sisters, Sister Mary Benedicta from Nigeria, Sister Maria Gladisa form Indian and Sister Mary Agnes from England. Each story was different showing that God calls in different ways.
Afterwards each one present introduced themselves and spoke about their lives and aspirations. It was very interesting. Some residents were happy to share their life experiences.
The visit of the care home and chapel was appreciated. It was a time to meet the residents, staff and Little Sisters.
We prayed together in the chapel confiding all young people to God asking Him to guide them and protect them. We remembered Sylvia our postulant who was the secretary for the legion of Mary before entering the congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor. The group were glad to know that Sylvia is very happy in her vocation.
Refreshments were served and conversations were animated. The legion of Mary is well known for the spiritual works of mercy bringing Christ to others through prayer, visitation, and practical services. The leader of the Legion of Mary said a final prayer before the departure from the home
