Mother General Visits London Homes


Rita (aged 100 years) welcomes Mother General to St. Peter’s

IMG_1152Mother General travelled from the Motherhouse in Brittany France, accompanied by Mother Gerard Patricia, Assistant General, to visit St. Peter’s Residence from Friday 19th September to Wednesday, 24th. Meetings were held with the Mothers Superior of the London Province – Birmingham, Bristol, Jersey, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Preston. To mark the occasion Archbishop Peter Smith celebrated Mass in the Chapel at St. Peter’s, on Saturday 20th September and was joined by his secretary Fr. Philip Gladfield and Fr. James Hurley, Vicar for Religious. Mother General, accompanied by the local Superiors, visited St. Anne’s, Stoke Newington, on Sunday 21st. Sisters and Residents shared in the joy of the celebrations during these days as the photographs below show.
