Jubilee of the world of volunteering

In this Jubilee Year of Hope, Pope Francis asked us all to celebrate the World of Volunteering during the month of March.   We decided to invite all our Volunteers and Associates to an afternoon tea.   We particularly wanted to thank some friends of our volunteers who spent several weeks preparing letters for a  drop appeal by An Post.   We also wanted to thank so many residents in the Apartments and the Home who got involved in the project and the numerous volunteers who took thousands of leaflets to work from home!  Joan, our receptionist prepared the Invitations and these were distributed by hand.  To our surprise and delight, 36 volunteers accepted the invitation to a high tea.   Among them were our three regular musicians who came along with their musical instruments and of course entertained us all with some lovely singalong music.  It was a wonderful opportunity for us to thank our volunteers and for them to meet up with one another.
