Irene Boyer was born on the 12th October 1920 in London she moved to Manchester when she was 17 years old. She had a very interesting life working with the police force in the office, typing and filing reports for court cases. Irene enjoyed this time meeting so many people. Irene loved dancing and going to the pictures.
Later in life she visited people in need and often spent time visiting the elderly when she was a member of the Legion of Mary.
Irene is a gifted painter and her drawings are admired by everyone at St Joseph’s.
When asked what is the secret to a long life Irene replied. ” Simply let everyone else do the work”
