Little Sisters and a group of young people made a pilgrimage in the spirit of St Jeanne Jugan who once said she would love to come to England if she were invited. Sr Emmanuel, Caroline Sheppard, a true follower of Jeanne, became the first English Little Sister of the Poor and it was in her footsteps that the group of pilgrims walked, visiting the Church she had prayed in before entering the Congregation, and where she first met the Little Sisters in 1851 when they first arrived in England.
